Quote of the day (2) by Sir Alex Ferguson

Sir Alexander Chapman “Alex” Ferguson is British football’s most successful manager and a former Manchester United coach.
Love him or hate him, Fergie left the game of football in a very different state than when he found it. Here is one quote from his book, My Autobiography, that tells us everything about how he became a great manager.

“Some people, when they have a holiday, just want to go to Saltcoats, twenty-five miles along the coast from Glasgow. Some people don’t even want to do that. They are happy to stay at home or watch the birds and the ducks float by in the park. And some want to go to the moon. Its all about people’s AMBITIONS”

“Never relax” he preached. “Bad things can happen”. That ferocious work ethic, that refusal to be satisfied, underpins everything Ferguson has achieved in the game.
